Whats new in the Park apart from animals.
In 2012 was brought gamekeeper with the family and for his arrival was build a year round house on the barge.
In addition to already existing monitoring equipment was added a set for measuring energy balance of the pasture
Over the 3 spring seasons in the park was mined massive permafrost cave. It is built a good storage facility and a "history museum" of the mammoth steppe ecosystem. Cave is presenting a net of tunnels up to 20 meter depth into permafrost, through the relict yedoma sediments. Total length of tunnels has already reached 200 meters.
