Science Station

North-East Scientific Station was founded in 1978, and initially situated 15 km away from current position in the bank of one of the small tributaries. In those days it consisted of only 2 buildings without electricity or water systems. After more then 30 years of development NESS grew into one of the biggest research stations in the arctic. Every year it grow in size and provide more and more possibilities for research.
